CCB Envico focus on International Projects
Combining the competencies within CCB Envico with the developmental and international focus of our sister company Reeves International (www.reevesint.com) in the past four years, CCB Envico has looked abroad for opportunities in the South Pacific and near Asia region.
We have recently completed the construction of Pohnpei Sewerage Treatment Plant Augmentation, in the Federated States of Micronesia, carried out with Asian Development Bank funding and assisted in the roll out of a small tanks projects in the Marshall Islands.
The Pohnpei plant has an ultimate Dry weather capacity of 5.1 ML/D. It incorporates 2 aeration tanks each with a central clarifier and outfall hypochlorite dosing. A separate sludge digester has been provided. Treated effluent is discharged to the adjacent ocean outfall and the project has also incorporated works to this outfall to prove and improve hydraulic performance. The project also included the refurbishment of 8 pump stations with new submersible pump and power configurations.
Pohnpei has one of the highest rainfall patterns in the world with an average annual rainfall between 8,000 and 11,000mm and thus the bulk of design and construction had to take into account this extreme tropical climate.
We have also recently established a presence in Sri Lanka, Nauru, Kiribati, Tuvalu, Weno and the Solomon Islands through selected partners and are actively pursuing opportunities in these locations. All of these locations are classed as developing nations where the impact of environmental infrastructure projects is considerable.
